I am often asked when a customer is looking to buy a new computer, which brands I recommend and which to steer clear of.  The truth is, that with the vast majority of store bought branded PCs, the manufacturer will have used cheap unbranded components to cut costs and therefore improve their profit margin.  While the specifications listed may make it seem like a good deal, what they never list is who manufactured the internal components.
